1. mBox becomes eFax: What does this mean for me?

We're very pleased to announce that mBox has joined eFax, the undisputed market leader of internet fax services with nearly 11.9 million customers around the world. eFax is owned and operated by j2 Global Communications (NASDAQ: JCOM).

  • mBox MessageIn: services will transition to eFax in July 2010. Your service number won't change and your service will transition without interruption.
  • In the meantime, your service will remain as is and you do not need to do anything. Continue logging into your account as usual by clicking here.
  • You will receive an email with information on how to login to your new account soon.
  • After the transition, you'll have access to many new features, including:
    • Unlimited online fax storage in your eFax Message Center
    • Receive AND Send faxes conveniently by email
    • eFax Messenger Software - edit and sign faxes electronically
    • Access to over 3500 cities worldwide and toll-free numbers
  • mBox MessageOut: With eFax Plus service, you can both send AND receive faxes via email. Customers can Try our eFax Plus service for 30 days free which includes the ability to send and receive for one low price. For information on how to sign up, call customer service at 1-800-132-818 or +61 (0)2 9423 0313. eFax will no longer provide MessageOut only services. Your existing MessageOut credit will transition to eFax should you sign up for new eFax Plus service.
2. Will my mBox number change?
No. Your mBox MessageIn number will be your eFax number. You do not need to communicate any changes to your contacts.
3. How do I log in to my account?

Until your account transitions to eFax, log in as usual by clicking here https://www.mbox.com.au/login.php .

After the transition you'll receive a welcome letter from eFax with your new login information and instructions.

4. I forgot my mBox account number and/or password.

5. Is my price changing? Why?

We aim to make this transition as seamless as possible. eFax will send a notification email to you that contains your pricing information. With eFax you will gain additional benefits including:

  • Unlimited online fax storage in your eFax Message Center
  • Receive AND Send faxes conveniently by email
  • eFax Messenger Software – edit and sign faxes electronically
6. Do I need to give you my billing information again?

No, your existing billing information will be part of the migration. If you would like to change your payment method you can do so by calling customer service.

7. What GST charges will apply now?
j2 is located outside of Australia. As a result, GST will not apply.
8. How is usage charged?
Subscription charges are billed to your credit card on your renewal (anniversary) billing date, which is determined by your account's creation date. Outbound and inbound faxing charges (if exceeding your included pages/credit) are invoiced. Each additional inbound page will be charged as 0.11 AUD/NZD/SGD. ($0.10 for US). Outbound pages that exceed your recurring monthly credit will be charged as outlined HERE.
9. Do I have to download any additional software to be able to view faxes?
No, you do not have to download any software.
10. How can I add additional fax numbers to my account?
You can receive/send faxes by using your eFax number. If you would like to have extra fax numbers you will need to log into your eFax account and add a number to your account.
11. Can I save my faxes online? How big is the storage space? How long is the storage for?
With eFax you get automatically unlimited online fax storage in your eFax Message Center.
12. Information for Broadcast users
Sending SMS messages and broadcast faxes will not be supported by eFax. Messij.com provides a service to send SMS and Fax broadcasts. Click here for information on the Messij.com SMS and Fax broadcast service. Existing mBox MessageOut broadcast customers can transfer MessageOut credit to Messij.com. 15. Voicemail to Email Questions
Will I keep my voicemail to email service?
Yes. Voicemail to email service will continue to be supported. You will need to re-record your personal greeting to continue using this feature.

How do I set up my voicemail personal greeting?

  1. Call your eFax number
  2. While the greeting is playing, press *
  3. Enter your PIN when prompted
  4. To record a new greeting press 3
  5. Once you have completed recording your greeting, press #
  6. To save your greeting, press # again

 Note: If you hang up after step # 5 your recording will not be saved

How do I disable my voicemail greeting?

To have this feature disabled, please call us at 1300 790 310.

16. Information for iPhone application users.

Unfortunately, we will no longer support the iPhone app.

17. Information for Email Users.

You may continue to login to email services from the mBox login page or directly from here.

If you are experiencing issues with your email, please check the setting on your email software. Please follow these instructions for Microsoft Outlook 2003, Microsoft Outlook 2007 or Mozilla Thunderbird.
