About eFax Corporate Enhanced Security

Need added security? Enhanced Security is an optional feature that provides a secure, encrypted alternative for viewing your faxes.

Note: Enhanced Security is available with eFax Plus, eFax Pro, and eFax Corporate accounts at no extra cost. To activate or deactivate this feature, please contact eFax Corporate Customer Service.

IMPORTANT!

Here's how it works: When you receive a fax, a notification email is sent to your external-email inbox, with a special URL included in the body of the email. When you click the URL, a secure-socket-layer (SSL) connection is opened; and you're prompted to log into eFax Corporate "My Account". Then, when you enter your fax number and password, you'll be taken to the Message Center to view your fax. It's simple, secure and convenient.

To view an Enhanced Security fax:

  1. When you receive the fax-notification email, do one of the following: Click the URL in the email to log into eFax Corporate "My Account"—or log into eFax Corporate "My Account" at https://www.efax.com/login. Your My Account page appears.
  1. Then, click VIEW FAXES. The Message Center appears, displaying the faxes in your Inbox folder. (NOTE: If you know your account lets you receive faxes as well as send them—and you do not see the VIEW FAXES link: Click the ACCOUNT DETAILS link, then the Preferences tab, then the Edit link in the Message Center section. Then, click the Yes button underneath Display the messages..., then Update to save and exit.)
  2. Double-click the Subject of the enhanced-security fax. It displays on its own tab.
